Bukit Panjang LRT breaks down for an hour

A power fault on the Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit (LRT) caused train services to be disrupted for around an hour on Sunday morning.
Train operator SMRT said the disruption was due to a power fault that occurred between Fajar and Bangkit stations at 9:19am, causing a train to stall between the two stations. Another train was dispatched to push the stalled train to Bangkit station to allow passengers to get off.
Train services were resumed at 10:05am.
The last breakdown on the Bukit Panjang LRT was in April 2012.
