SMRT announces train fault on Circle Line

On 5 March 2025, at approximately 04:19pm local time, SMRT has announced on its social media channels that it is experiencing a train fault on the Circle Line, and requests that travellers allocate an additional 30 minutes of travel time between Promenade MRT and Serangoon MRT in both directions.
SMRT has also announced that free regular bus services will be available between the aforementioned stations, with shuttle train service available between Bartley MRT and Mountbatten MRT. The company advises travellers to seek alternative routes on the North-South, North-East, Downtown, and East-West Line.
Earlier in February 2025, Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat announced that the government will not convene a committee of inquiry for the three MRT delays that happened in the same month.
