CCL to resume normal service operations from 6 April

Integration works for Stage 6 of the Circle Line (CCL) is expected to conclude a month ahead of schedule, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in an update today via a Facebook post.
In October 2023, the authority had announced service adjustments to the CCL to facilitate track works to integrate the new extension with the HarbourFront station. Integration works were estimated to last until May this year, and necessitated temporary single platform closures at Telok Blangah and HarbourFront stations throughout the period.
The early completion means CCL services will resume normal operations earlier and reduce inconveniences for commuters. LTA said the CCL will "go back to business as usual" from this Saturday (6 April 2024).
"Thanks to the collective efforts by our engineers and operator to streamline and optimise work processes based on site conditions, as well as the additional resources put in by our contractors to support 24/7 operations, we could complete the track works in 77 days instead of 126 as originally planned," wrote LTA.
Stage 6 of the CCL, otherwise referred to as CCL6, is a 4km extension that will add three stations - Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward Road - to the rail line to connect HarbourFront station to Marina Bay station.
On completion, the CCL6 will bring the total number of CCL stations to 33, of which 12 are interchange stations that interface with other rail lines. It will also close the loop for the CCL, giving commuters more alternative routes that bypass the busy interchanges at City Hall and Raffles Place.
