Charge+ sets 16,000 charging point goal in Singapore

Charge+, operator of the 120kW chargers at OCBC Bank, has announced that it is now targeting to operate a total of 16,000 electric vehicle chargers here in Singapore.
This latest target is a sizeable increase from the initial 10,000 charger target first announced in March 2022, and will come as part of a target to open a total of 30,000 electric vehicle charging points in South East Asia by 2030.
These new targets were announced in conjunction with the opening of new Charge+ charging stations at Block 153 of Jalan Teck Whye and the Rainforest condominium at Choa Chu Kang. The firm already operates more than 1,000 charging points here in Singapore, making it the largest electric vehicle charging operator here in Singapore.
Charge+ aims to make a meaningful contribution to catalyse electric vehicle adoption in Singapore and contribute to the nation's move to phase out the purchase of new conventional vehicles by 2030. The firm is already working on its tenders awarded by the government, which will see it implement more than 4,000 charging points across HDB carparks in Singapore.
It is additionally working on developing a 5,000km-long electric vehicle charging highway across five countries in South East Asia which it states is slated to be the longest in the region.
