They are back with a vengeance.
Premiums across all private car categories rose in the second round of bidding for August - and in spectacular fashion. Premiums across Cat A are now at their highest since October 2023, a month which saw premiums reaching scorching hot levels before they dipped after the second of what would turn out to be a series of adjustments to the COE supply, done to temper premiums. Premiums for Cat B and E meanwhile, have also attained new highs for 2025, and are now at points which have not been witnessed since late 2023.
The category saw a significant increase in the total number of bids submitted compared to the session before, a likely consequence of the recent launch of the Atto 2 here from hot favourite brand BYD.
