Up, up, and away!
As if all the climbs recorded in the past bidding sessions were not enough, this second COE bidding session for the month of September has seen premiums rising across all categories, with all private car categories seeing quite a significant jump ahead of the return of the second of this year's The Cars Expo.
You'll note that the current premium for Cat B and E are now rather close to the highs we saw in October 2023 - a month which saw the LTA conducting the second of a host of COE supply adjustments in an attempt to bring down premiums.
And don't be too hopeful that premiums will drop in the coming weeks either: The next COE bidding session is a good three weeks away, giving dealers here plenty of time to convince shoppers that they will need to place larger bids if they want to secure their own ride.
