Mercedes has revealed its Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS.
The near-production concept car merges state-of-the-art electric drive technology with hallmark Maybach craftsmanship and an exquisite interior.
Based on a purely electric vehicle architecture, the design of the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS follows Mercedes EQ's 'purpose design' philosophy with a low front end and lines that flow tautly over the sloping A-pillar and roof contour.
A seamless design without breaks and edges defines the design of the car, alongside its surface modelling and muscular shoulders. At the front, in place of a radiator grille is a black panel, endowed with the vertical Maybach pinstripes in an elegant, three-dimensional effect.
The concept also gets a Maybach signature two-tone paint finish, with Obsidian Black Metallic at the top and Zircon Red metallic for the bottom, with a fine pinstripe in chrome as a visual dividing line.
Also noticeable from the side are those generous 24-inch light-alloy wheels, sporting a Maybach 'bowl' design with five short spokes and a flat centre section.

The interior of the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS is just as emotional and stylish as the exterior. Front seats inspired by those from the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class combine with two individual rear seats and a 'high-end entertainment system' to guarantee the highest level of comfort on board.
Mercedes' Mercedes-Benz User Experience Hyperscreen infotainment system as on the EQE makes another appearance here. Stretching from A-pillar to A-pillar, it features a dedicated 12.3-inch OLED display dedicated to the front passenger.
Round air vents in high-gloss chrome, galvanised trim elements and the multifunction steering wheel from the Vision EQS with flattened top and bottom sections emphasise the high-quality and sophisticated look.
