Hyundai is gathering quite the lineup of boffins to its side. Just a month after it announced it would be collaborating with the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London to develop a growth strategy for Africa, the firm has now announced that it will be partnering with the University College London to jointly research carbon-neutral future technologies.
The firm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate with the University on research as development in areas including hydrogen production, hydrogen fuel cells, as well as electrification technology. The two organisations further expect to collaborate on advanced material development and industrial technologies.
Both South Korea and the U.K. are aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Hyundai also recently announced that it would be collaborating with Singapore-based logistics firm Poh Tiong Choon Logistics (PTC) to establish an ecosystem for hydrogen-based mobility here in Singapore.
