Kia Magentis facelifted for 2010

The Magentis, which is called the Lotze in its home domestic market, and the Optima in America, receives subtle changes to the exterior, notably the new mesh grille, darker headlamps, new LED tail lights, black treatment for the lower part of the rear bumper and newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the new Magentis gets new trim and colour options as well as additional features. However, engines are expected to remain unchanged, with the same 2.0 litre four-cylinder unit with 163bhp, as well as the 179bhp 2.4 litre powerplant remaining in use.

The facelifted Lotze/Optima/Magentis will go on sale in South Korea soon, but no word yet from Kia about the car being ready for export markets.
