Since its introduction three years ago, at the same event, the Peter Schreyer-penned Optima mid-size sedan has earned to become Kia's sales leader - selling more than 150,000 units last year alone - on top of gaining worldwide acclaim for its European-inspired design bundled with fun-to-drive performance.

The vehicle's bold stance and aerodynamic shape are further emphasised by updated rear diffusers and a sweeping boot lid.
The improvements spill into the cabin too, as drivers are greeted with more upscale and high-tech amenities. Two new displays, a 4.3-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster and an optional high-resolution 8-inch navigation and telematics screen are available.
All new seat designs ensure a comfortable drive, while an optional new Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and rear parking sensors improves convenience.

Each engine is bundled to a six-speed automatic featuring Sportmatic clutch-free shifting. An exclusive Drive Mode Select (DMS) function is available for the new SX variant that adjusts transmission shift points and steering weight for a customised driving experience.
Specifications, features and trim levels stated here are tailored for the U.S. market and are subjected to change during local availability.
