Maserati marks 70th anniversary of Fangio's victory

Maserati has marked 70 years since the Italian Grand Prix on 13 September 1953, where Juan Manuel Fangio celebrated his first and only victory of the season in the final race at Monza behind the wheel of the Maserati A6GCM. The anniversary is marked as Maserati continues to expand its involvement in motorsport with the MC20 GT2 race car.
The Argentine race car Driver is held in the same regard as motorsport legends including Senna and Schumacher - the latter of whom Fangio ceded the crown of the most titled Formula One Driver to after almost 50 years.

The firm additionally only recently revealed its 724bhp MCXtrema - an MC20-based track-only car, of which only 62 examples are to be built.
