Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the long awaited challenger to the F80 BMW M3 sedan - the Mercedes-AMG C 63 AMG housing a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine. With the new car, Mercedes has also debuted a new nomenclature as the successor to the critically and commercially successful Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG, and will now be called the Mercedes-AMG C 63.

Linked to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed sport transmission, the C 63 S accompolishes the century sprint in just 4.0 seconds (4.1 for the C 63) and continues to climb to a top speed of an electronically governed 250km/h.
The design is influenced by motorsport and reflects its fascinating technology. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 has aluminium front wings, widened on each side by 14mm and adorns the 'V8 BITURBO' lettering. The entire front end has also been lengthened by 54mm.
The dashboard is finished in black ARTICO man-made leather, with the premium look-and-feel further enhanced by stitching in crystal grey, the wing-like trim element in aluminium and the AMG-exclusive, IWC-design analogue clock (depending on equipment choice).

Performance seats are also available as an alternative to the standard sports seats in ARTICO man-made leather / DINAMICA microfibre.
Like in the case of recent AMG models, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 und C 63 S are also available in 'Edition 1' variants. There are six exterior paint finishes to choose from including the AMG-exclusive designo iridium silver magno.
The 'Edition 1' models can be identified from the outside by a number of design highlights including forged wheels in matte black with the rims painted in red.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 celebrates its world premiere on the 2nd of October together with the show premiere of the Mercedes-AMG GT at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. The more powerful C 63 S sedan will be launched in February 2015, ahead of the C 63 and C 63 S Estate in April 2015.
