Heralded as one of the Mercedes-Benz's most popular models, the all-new GLC is fully electric and sports an elevated design language and is powered by the AI-drive MB.OS superbrain.
The new GLC is also the first Mercedes-Benz to feature its redesigned brand-defining chromed grille alongside a dynamic silhouette complemented by sculptural shoulder lines and pronounced wheel arches.
Inside, the new GLC's most notable and striking feature is its all-new seamless 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, the largest in a Mercedes-Benz to date. This is combined with warm and inviting ambient light that even illuminates the starry Sky Control panoramic roof, evoking the sense of a roomy interior. The car also comes with the optional interior Vegan Package, which offers a suite of interior soft-touch materials certified by The Vegan Society.
Compared to the combustion GLC, the all-electric GLC offers a wheelbase that is 84mm longer, which translate into 13mm more legroom and 46mm more headroom up front, while rear passengers will benefit from 47mm more legroom and 17mm more headroom. And further back, the all-new GLC provides 570 litres of boot space that extends to 1,740 litres with the rear seats folded down. And it doesn't stop there - the car also has a 128-litre frunk that can be partially opened electrically via touch control.
At its market launch, Mercedes-Benz will be offering the GLC 400 4MATIC, the top-of-the-range model, with four further models to follow. This variant features two electric motors with a combined output of 360kW, as well as a 94kWh battery offering a hefty WLTP range of 713km. Paired together with the new GLC's 800V system, this allows it to recharge up to 303km of range in 10 minutes on 330kW of DC fast charging.
In terms of safety, every model is equipped with MB.Drive systems that take advantage of an extensive sensor set using up to ten external cameras, five radar sensors, and twelve ultrasonic sensors. In addition, all active safety systems are standard equipment and can be updated via the Mercedes-Benz app even after purchase.
