MG has pulled the covers off its first seven-seat SUV, the MGS9 PHEV.
Interior space is virtually a guarantee in the vehicle, with more than 1,000 litres of luggage space with the third rows folded away. And even if all seats are occupied, the SUV still offers up 332 litres.
And by utilising MG's proven plug-in hybrid technology from the multi-award-winning MG HS, the MGS9 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery delivering an electric WLTP range of up to 100km.
In comparison to the MG HS, the MGS9 PHEV is both longer and taller. It also offers a comprehensive level of specification including leather-style upholstery, a large panoramic sunroof, and tri-zone air conditioning to keep every occupant comfortable. The seats also offer heated, ventilated, and massaging features.
Safety does not take a backseat either, with the new model having already been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP rating, thanks in part to its extensive use of high-strength steel and up to 16 advanced driver assistance technologies.
MG has said that further details of the MGS9 PHEV will be announced in the near future.
