Modified Subaru WRX STI smashes Isle of Man TT lap record

Having set sights on the Isle of Man TT lap record, rally ace Mark Higgins has managed to successfully better his current lap record in a heavily modified Subaru WRX STI.
Specially developed with Prodrive, the modified WRX STI features a body kit that includes a new front bumper with wide air dams, side skirts, a rear air diffuser, flared fenders and a massive wing.
He completed the 60.7km course in 17:49.75, which equates to an average speed of 204km/h, smashing his previously held record of 19:15 seconds that he set back in 2014.
The record-setting run is the first of four attempts Higgins is scheduled to make on the course record.
