The new Kia Optima measures 4844 mm long and 2794 mm wide, 43 mm longer and 74 mm wider than the outgoing model. The car has a front-wheel-drive platform with independent front and rear suspension systems, using MacPherson struts in the front and a multi-link layout in the rear. Both are joined with coil springs and front anti-roll bars.
Among the features in the new Optima include dual exhaust pipes with chrome tips, solar glass, outside mirror turn signal indicators, standard fog lights, heated outside mirrors, exterior chrome/body-colour door handles, HID headlights with auto levelling, LED rear combination lights, rear spoiler, sculpted side sills, aero wiper blades, red brake callipers and 18-inch black machined finish alloy wheels.
