New Toyota bZ Woodland expands Toyota's American BEV lineup

As part of Toyota's multi-pathway approach toward achieving a carbon-neutral society, the brand will be expanding its North American BEV lineup with the new bZ Woodland, which will premiere at a new vehicle launch event hosted by Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) from 19 to 21 May 2025.

The new bZ Woodland will be introduced along with the bZ (the North American model name for the bZ4X) and Toyota C-HR as a BEV lineup to cover SUVs, a major segment of the North American market.

The bZ Woodland AWD model adopts a high-output type front and rear eAxle, with the use of an evolved control system allowing for greater freedom in distributing front and rear driving force

According to details released by Toyota of the North American model, the new bZ Woodland will be equipped with a 74.7kWh battery and offer a cruising range of approximately 418km (AWD model). It will use the North American Charging System as its DC charging standard, and has a development target of rapid charging in approximately 30 minutes.

Additionally, the new bZ Woodland will have 850 litres of boot space.

Toyota has said that new bZ Woodland is scheduled to go on sale in North America in early 2026, with the bZ4X Touring, the Japanese domestic model of the bZ Woodland, scheduled to launch in Japan around Q2 2026.
