Nissan announces launch edition 'Nissan Kicks 2016'

Built in Brazil, the Kicks is a Latin America-exclusive crossover that is bigger than a Juke, but smaller than a Rogue. Think Honda HR-V or Subaru XV. It arrives in Brazilian dealerships on August 5^th, before appearing in a handful of other Latin American countries, and then onto 80 markets worldwide.

With the Olympics taking place in Rio de Janeiro this year, Nissan is making the Kicks the 'Official Car of the Olympics.' As part of its duties, it is escorting the Olympic torch through 329 cities as it makes its way to Brazil.

The first 1,000 Nissan Kicks will be part of a limited run called the 'Nissan Kicks 2016', and have an individually numbered badge on the grille denoting its serial number, from 0001 to 1000.

The Kicks is equipped with a 1.6-litre, 16-valve FlexFuel engine good for 114bhp, mated to Nissan's ubiquitous CVT. A version is being 'seriously considered' for the U.S.A market as well.
