Peugeot has unveiled the next generation 308 online. Based on the PSA-developed EMP2 platform, the new 308 is 4,250mm long and 1,460mm tall, which is slightly shorter and lower compared to the outgoing model.

Exterior styling wise, it has borrowed some design cues from its smaller sibling, the 208, while the inside has received the 'i-cockpit' design philosophy with a similar steering wheel and heads-up instrument panel as seen in the 208.
The tall centre console boasts a large 9.7-inch touchscreen that does away with many of the conventional buttons.
On the production front, it is reported to take place in Sochaux, France and is expected to hit the European markets first, later this year, following a world debut in Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new model comes with a significantly sharper front end design, owing to lower engine mounting positions. On the inside, there's more available than before including a huge 470 litres of cargo space.
