Polestar kicks off production of Polestar 4 in China

Polestar has kicked off series production of the Polestar 4.
The firm states that first deliveries of the coupe SUV are set to start by late 2023 for the Chinese market, with official launches in other Polestar markets scheduled to take place come early 2024.
The first production car to roll off the assembly line was finished in Snow and came with the Performance Pack and was additionally the first Polestar to be manufactured at the Hangzhou Bay factory which is operated by Geely Holding. This plant is powered by renewable electricity that carries a hydro power certificate, combined with photovoltaic electricity generated on the roof of the plant itself.
The factory's green credentials have contributed to the Polestar 4's low carbon footprint which, at 19.4 tonnes of CO2e at launch, is said to be the lowest of any car from Polestar.
