Recharging you and your car: Audi proposes novel concept for quick charging infrastructure
31 May 2021|1,214 views
Audi is working on a quick-charging concept for premium-level electromobility. A pilot project in the second half of the year will provide specific details and a possible serial roll-out.
A solution to demand for charging infrastructure in the future could be Audi's proposed charging hub. The concept calls for high-power charging stations that can be booked beforehand. A lounge area nearby provides an attractive, premium place to pass the time whilst waiting for the vehicle to finish charging.

The charging hub's modular concept provides maximum flexibility and scalability. It can be transported, installed and adapted to the individual location quickly, largely independent of local network capacities.
It only takes a little longer than a coffee break to charge an electric Audi. For example, an Audi e-tron GT can charge enough energy for up to 100km in about five minutes.
To make the wait a premium experience, a lounge will provide Audi customers with the perfect setting for an enjoyable charging stop. The lounge area offers a variety of amenities and a range of snacks, drinks and non-food items, making the charging stop a welcome break.
