Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric available in the U.K. in 2025

The Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric will be available to order in the U.K. from January 2025.

It will be available in three trim levels (evolution, techno, and iconic five), with a choice of two powertrains - a 122bhp motor with a 40kWh battery with a range of 306km (urban range) and a 152bhp motor with a 52kWh battery with a range of 400km (comfort range). Both powertrains have a top speed of 150km/h.

The 'urban range' powertrain allows the car to go from 0-100km/h in 9.0 seconds, while the 'comfort range' goes from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds

It is also the first Renault vehicle to benefit from bi-directional functionality, with charging of up to 11kW AC and 100kW DC, and it can recharge to 80% in 30 minutes.

Based on the AmpR Small platform, the five-door Renault 5 weighs only 1,449kg and offers 326 litres of boot space. Its interior sports denim upholstery made from recycled materials with heather yellow seats bearing a '5', and a central 10.1-inch display powered by the OpenR Link system.

The Renault 5 is stuffed with the latest technology, from its built-in Google services with EV-optimised navigation and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities

The Renault 5 is offered in two colours from launch - Pop Yellow! and Pop Green! - and has up to 25 advanced driver safety assistance systems, including rear occupant safe exit alert and lane centring assist. In addition, a new feature - My Safety Shield - allows drivers to activate their preferred advanced driver safety assistance systems.

Test drives for the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric will be available come March 2025, with the first customer deliveries expected in Spring 2025.
