Renault adds new models to the Twingo Gordini line

Renault's decision comes after Gordini versions of its Clio and Twingo RS models became an unprecedented sales success in Europe, and the company have thus decided to use the Gordini name on other models in the Twingo range.

The new Twingo Gordini replaces the Twingo GT models, and comes in two forms. The first is a petrol version with a 1.2-litre TCe turbocharged engine that produces 100bhp, and the other is a 1.4-litre dCi turbo diesel unit which has 85bhp.

Among the exterior revisions to the Twingo Gordini include custom front and rear bumpers, 15-inch alloy wheels and special badges. There are also three body colours available, Malte Blue metallic, Pearlescent Black and Glacier White. The Malte Blue shade comes with white stripes and details, while the other two colours have the same stripes and details in Cold Metal Grey.

Inside, the Twingo Gordini features special blue and black leather throughout the interior, sports seats, blue rev-counter housing with white background and bezel, aluminium pedals, black lacquer-finish centre console and dark-charcoal leather-trimmed dashboard cowl with visible stitching.
