The Renault Megane RS250 has once again proven to be the fastest front wheel drive car in the Singapore Gymkhana Series Round 2. Representing the Renault team, Denis Lian bagged 2 trophies, namely first position for Class 1 (Front Wheel Drive Category) and second position for Class 3 (Open Category).
The routes were designed to offer a more exciting mix of challenging manoeuvres, as compared to Round 1 Series. Drivers' skills were put to the test at a higher level when they had to compete in the drizzle. Their battle against the adverse weather conditions propelled the competition to its climax, as they displayed their fast and precise racing skills to the amazement of the crowd.
Speaking to Denis Lian, he said, "In competition, my sole objective is to gun for a win, and the pleasure is usually derived from the results. However, sometimes in motorsports, if you're fortunate enough to drive the right car, the overall experience is heightened as the art of driving adds another dimension to the pleasure."
"The Megane RS is one of those rare cars. It's not only fast and agile enough to win races, but it's chassis is so communicative and involving, it gives me great pleasure every time I get behind the wheel. I really can't wait to get to the start line for the final round of the Singapore Gymkhana Series. We'll be aiming for a win again, but more importantly, I'll be having fun doing it," Denis added.
