The Megane RS Trophy gets a power upgrade from the Megane RS, with the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine now producing 265bhp and 360Nm of torque, a 15bhp and 20Nm increase. 0-100km/h sprint time has been reduced by 0.1 second to 6 seconds, while top speed goes up by 4km/h to 254km/h.The improved performance comes about due to the increased pressure from the turbo, which goes up by 0.2 bar to 2.5 bar. The air intake design was also changed to allow for a higher pressure. Renault also promises that the Megane RS Trophy will have a fuel consumption rate of 8.2 litres per 100km.
Cosmetically, the Megane RS Trophy gets a black roof, special decals, a new rear spoiler and 19-inch gloss black wheels. The car is also available in four body colours, Sirius Yellow, Glacier White, Etoilé Black and Cassiopée Grey. The Renault Megane RS Trophy will debut at the Renault Sport Day at the Nürburgring in Germany on June 17, and go on sale across Europe shortly after.
