Seat marks 25th anniversary with four generations of Leon

To mark the Leon's 25^th anniversary, Seat will be celebrating the lineage of its most successful car.

Designed, developed, and produced entirely in Barcelona, and with more than 2.5 million units manufactured to date, the car has been used as a benchmark in technology, design, and equipment in the compact car segment.

Originally launched in 1999, the Leon has been leading the way in the compact segment over the course of four generations

The original Seat Leon was the brand's first model featuring four-wheel drive, powered with a six-speed gearbox and delivering up to 183bhp. The second-generation Leon sported a bold, aerodynamic design, and the third was the first compact car to integrate full LED lighting, blending advanced engineering and an elegant design.

The fourth-generation Leon is the most technologically advanced in the history of the brand, featuring a new 1.5 e-HYBRID engine with 134km of electric range, Matrix LED head lights, and enables fast charging in just 26 minutes.
