Having teased its world premiere a week ago, Kia has finally pulled the covers off its all-new second gen Seltos SUV via an online world premiere themed "The Protagonist". Developed under Kia's Opposites United design philosophy, the all-new Seltos' wider stance, precise surfaces, and structured forms express capability and confidence from every angle.
Exterior-wise, at the front, it sports a wider grille with Kia's star map lighting signature and dynamic welcome light sequence. Flush door handles contribute towards enhanced aerodynamics and visual sophistication. Diagonal character lines, a floating roofline, and strong shoulder contours create a dynamic silhouette, while contrasting cladding and satin silver colour accents emphasise durability and refinement. And at the rear, vertical tail lamps extend across the tailgate to emphasise width and stability.
The second gen Seltos is described as embodying Kia's vision of a confident and versatile subcompact SUV
Kia has also unveiled three standout colours for the second gen Seltos: Iceberg Green, Gravity Gray, and a bold matte Magma Red, showcasing a palette that ranges from modern sophistication to strong, expressive hues.
Inside, a low, horizontal dashboard enhances forward visibility, while optimised packaging ensures generous headroom and legroom for all passengers. The adoption of a column-type Shift-by-Wire system frees up the centre console, enhancing functionality and contributing to a more open cabin environment. Other interior highlights include a wide panoramic sunroof, customisable 64-colour mood lighting, and premium Harman Kardon and Bose audio systems.
The all-new Kia Seltos is also built on the brand's latest K3 platform and offers a balanced range of powertrain options: A 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine offering both standard output (178bhp and 265Nm of torque) and high output (190bhp and 265Nm) as well as a 2.0-litre petrol engine offering 147bhp and 179Nm. Kia has also said that a hybrid variant will join the lineup in 2026 and will introduce Kia’s Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0.
The second gen Seltos also integrates intuitive technology such as a panoramic display (combining two 12.3-inch screens with a dedicated climate control panel), AI Assistant, over-the-air software updates, and Digital Key 2 for secure smartphone-based vehicle access and sharing.
Global production of the all-new Kia Seltos will begin in December 2025 in India, followed by launches in South Korea, North America, Europe, and China throughout 2026.
