Skoda Singapore has unveiled the all new Scala at the Singapore Motor Show 2020.
With its new sculptural shape, dynamic design features and high-precision details, the Skoda Scala showcases the brand's new emotional exterior and interior design language. Distinctive features of the Scala include an upright radiator grille, a dynamic roof line and a sporting diffuser rounding off the wide rear section.
The car's interior meanwhile is furnished with quality materials and accompanied by high levels of functionality.
At the heart of the Scala's interior design is a floating infotainment display protruding from the dashboard - a whole new concept for Skoda. The free-standing touchscreen display replaces the traditional dials and is conveniently positioned to be in the driver's immediate field of vision. The instrument panel's design is said to blend seamlessly with the exciting design of the exterior.
In addition to new interior trims and premium materials, the Scala also offers the generous amount of space the brand is known for, with the largest luggage compartment in this segment, at 467 litres, which increases to 1,410 litres with the rear seats folded down.
This is possible thanks to the comprehensive adjustments that Skoda has made to the Modular Transverse Toolkit Platform for the Scala, which include using the longest possible wheelbase measuring 2,649mm, allowing for a generous rear kneeroom of 73mm.
Elbowroom in the rear is 1,425mm, while at 982mm, the rear headroom is also the most spacious in this segment.
More information on the car's local specifications will be revealed closer to the launch date.
