Skuber Race Team readies for Round 2 of 2023 Malaysian Championship Series

The Skuber Race Team is gearing up for Round 2 of the 2023 Malaysian Championship Series, after having clinched third place in the overall championship of the 2022 season.
This year, the team has expanded its family, with new Drivers Hu Jianle and Mike Lee joining to participate in the SP2 V class with their Suzuki Swift, allowing the Skuber Race Team to contest a total of four classes this year, namely the TP, SP1, SP2 G and SP2 V.
But it was not an easy time for the newcomers. Race 1 of the series already saw the team facing challenging competition with a total of 51 entries and many strong contenders. On top of this, the Skuber Teams’ cars number 17 and 177 met with mechanical issues. Nonetheless, Jonathan Xie managed to secure a P4, while Javcob Lim proved himself with a P5 finish. Hu Jianle and Mike Lee, meanwhile, in car 117 finished P7, while Kent Leong had to retire the car so it can be fixed for Race 2.
The Skuber Team continued their success in Race 2, with Jonathan Xie bagging P2 despite being met with mechanical issues Javcob Lim and Kent Leong finished P8 and P9 respectively. Unfortunately both of them were served a stop and go penalty, costing them precious time. Hu Jianle and Mike Lee finished an encouraging P6, one up from the previous race.
