Suzuki Regina Concept previews future small city car

Suzuki says that the Regina Concept represents the carmaker’s ' vision of "a next-generation global compact car with excellent fuel efficiency and low emissions thanks to lightness and superior aerodynamics". The concept hints at a future small city car that will slot just beneath the Swift in Suzuki’s model line-up.

According to Suzuki, the Regina Concept weighs just 730kg, and has a drag coefficient at least 10% lower than that of current models in the category. The concept car itself won’t have a powertrain, but Suzuki says that if fitted with a conventional engine, the Regina could return a fuel economy of at least 32km per litre, and CO2 emissions as low as 70g/km.

The Regina measures 3,550mm long, 1,630mm wide and 1,430mm tall, while riding on 2,425mm wheelbase. Its interior can accommodate four passengers, and features minimalistic styling highlighted by various shades of green.
