Set against the picturesque backdrop of the old Turf Club, guests were greeted with customised Nissan Murano mocktails, in all colours of the Nissan Murano - Grayish Bronze, Brilliant Silver, White Pearl, Dark Blue, Red Pearl, Black and Blade Silver.
Nissan's VQ35DE V6 engine remains unchanged, and is mated to a new generation Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and the rigid D-platform. The transmission includes a new Adaptive Shift Control (ASC), which controls the shift timing according to the driver's personal driving style and the driving environment (vehicle speed, road gradient and turning condition) in which Nissan claims optimises both performance and fuel economy.
The driveline is an "All Mode" 4x4-i all-wheel drive system that varies torque split depending on the road surface.
Guests seeking respite from their hectic mid-week schedules were treated to an array of exquisite canapés like citrus-cured maguro and mini crème brulees to go along with their glass of bubbly.
The new Murano offers a list of enhancements and safety features such as bi-xenon headlights, bumper-integrated Halogen front fog lights, rain-sensing, step-less intermittent flat-bladed windshield wipers, high-intensity LED rear combination lamps, anti-lock brakes, vehicle dynamics control, low-friction seatbelts in all seating positions, three-point ELR rear seatbelts for three passengers and of course, SRS airbag systems in front and at the side for driver and front passenger.
Among the guest list of VIPs also included Mr Steve Ardianto, Managing Director, Nissan Asia Pacific Pte Ltd; Mr Tan Eng Soon, Chairman, Tan Chong International Ltd; Mr Joseph Ong, Managing Director of Tan Chong International and other Directors of Tan Chong International.
Starting the afternoon's proceedings with a welcome address was host, Fly Entertainment Artiste, Allan Wu, who spoke about the Nissan Murano and its ability to shatter all pre-conceived notions of SUVs with just its elegant silhouette and graceful curves alone.
Mr Joseph Ong also engaged guests with his humourous opening speech and introduction of the all-new Nissan Murano. Guests were given the opportunity to test drive the the Nissan Murano around the area.
Current prices for the new Murano start from S$132,500 with COE, and S$136,500 for the sunroof-optioned unit. View detailed specifications here
