TEL Phase 3 to open come 13 November 2022

The LTA has announced that the Thomson-East Coast Line Phase 3 (TEL3) will open for passenger service come 13 November 2022.
As with the opening of other new MRT lines, commuters will be able to hop on the TEL3 for a free-of-charge preview during an opening event that happen on 11 November 2022 and span from 10:00am to 9:00pm.
Commuters will now be able to board the TEL from the North-South Line and Circle Line at Marina Bay Station The TEL3 spans a total of 13.2km, and 11 of the TEL3 stations will open for passenger service, four of which are interchanges from which commuters will be able to connect to all existing MRT lines.
These interchanges include Stevens Station, which connects to the Downtown Line, Orchard Station, which connects to the North-South Line, Outram Park Station, which connects to both the East-West Line and North-East Line, and finally, the Marina Bay Station, from which commuters will be able to switch over to the North-South Line and Circle Line.
The 11 stations were handed over to SMRT on 17 August and the operator has since been conducting operational tests in preparation for the commencement of passenger service.
Sgcarmart understands that the two remaining stations on the section, Mount Pleasant and Marina South, will only be opened once more developments around them are completed.
