The all new Kia Sportage GT Line launches in Singapore

Cycle & Carriage Kia has introduced the first ever GT Line specification of the all new Sportage compact sport utility vehicle. Cabin amenities have been improved over the base model with standard options, including front row ventilated seats that have become synonymous with the Kia brand, as well as full electric controls for seat adjustments on both front passenger and driver sides.

The Sportage GT Line also comes fitted with a Smart Power Tailgate, making operation of the tailgate a cinch even while carrying groceries with both hands. Completing the improved cabin quality is the addition of aluminium scuff plates, as well as a load lip, which adds a touch of contrast to the classic, fuss-free black on black interior.

The Sportage GT Line's fully-independent front achieves outstanding ride quality while delivering sharp handling. Revised bushing mount positions for greater stability and more natural responses to changing road surfaces, as well as stiffer wheel bearings and bushings, which result in more direct handling and greater stability in all conditions. The steering gearbox is also mounted further forward on the axle for smoother steering inputs.

Specially tuned dampers in the rear suspension, also fully independent, have a longer rebound stroke to eliminate smaller vibrations from uneven road surfaces. The rear subframe has been mounted on isolated bushings to further improve noise, vibration, and harshness performance of the suspension.

The 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission carried over from the base model, offers drivers instant response without having to wait for turbochargers to spool up while keeping efficiency and fuel consumption at optimal levels with its dual continuous-variable valve timing and multi-point injection system. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters are available for greater control and a more engaging driving experience.
