A train stalled briefly at Redhill MRT station on Friday night after an object jammed one of its doors. Commuters travelling in the direction of Joo Koon on the East-West Line were told to alight and wait for the next train at around 11:18pm.
A SMRT spokesperson clarified that train service was not disrupted, and the next train arrived shortly at 11:21pm.
Many commuters chose to continue their journey on cabs, thinking that the train had broken down. Some passengers, however, waited for service to resume at the station.
