Volkswagen has been appointed the official car sponsor for the 7th annual Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), to be held from the 27th to the 31st of October 2014. With the theme 'Building Energy Connections', the event will feature a lineup of conferences, exhibitions and networking events.

These cars will be pre-sold to customers, with attractive discounts of up to $35,000. Buyers will be able to take delivery of the low-mileage event cars from 10th November 2014, with registration to be done just before delivery to customers, as the event cars will be running on special plates during the course of SIEW.
Both Volkswagen models have extremely low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The Sharan, for instance, consumes only 11.9km/L - an outstanding figure considering the Sharan is a full-sized MPV that accommodates seven.
Globally, the Volkswagen Group has great commitment to setting ecological standards, as shown by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. This important sustainability ranking listed Volkswagen in first place in 2013. The company aims to reduce energy and water consumption, as well as CO2 emissions, by 25 percent by 2018.
