Electric Coupe-Crossover of the Year
XPENG G6 Electric
The Xpeng G6 may not be as well-known as some of the newcomers to the EV scene, but it’s got plenty of advanced technology to impress sceptics. Its automatic parking system, for instance, works well even without other cars to take its guidance from, and using the indicators displays footage on the infotainment screen from the blind spot cameras. The G6 is also relatively efficient for its output (282bhp) and can be charged at up to 280kW for convenience.

Bought the G6 Performance after test drove the Long Range. I decided to upgrade it without test driving the Performance version even though LR serves me well. It was a well rounded package giving you all the high spec other brands couldn't provide. Very quiet and comfortable drive leading to less stressful journey. My daughter enjoys traveling and napping in it. I have never seen her so excited in my previous BMW 318i. I tested Tesla 3, Y, Mercedes EV & ICE, BMW 5 ICE, Lexus NX, Avatr 11 before decided on G6. Many drivers and pedestrians underestimate the power and speed of this car unknown to them. I encountered many occasions where drivers trying to overtake me in a tight car length only to find themselves in misjudgements. Pedestrians trying to dash across traffic only to find themselves jumping back to pavement. But it brings me smile as a "crouching tiger" on the road.

The car is a very comfortable drive. However the UI still feels a little buggy at times and not very user friendly. Hope this gets improved in time. As for the dealer, after-sales service a little subpar but more importantly, learned that the repair fees are way too astronomical

Test drove the car and can say it is not far from say, BMW iX3. Only thing is the badge may not have the same panache. But for those who are not coloured by brand, its definitely a good buy (like for like comparison with other EVs).@Petelli Speaking of which, people who buy LBX are just badge wh**es who can't afford the real thing but desperately need to have the badge and are willing to pay $200k for a glorified Yaris. Low power, low torque, small and squeezy interior. Geez!

Super nice car feels like first class plane but honestly everything about the car is perfect but only problem is the sales staff seem super judgemental and service was super bad from a female stuff.. Sadly to see that xpeng can do more with the car and future cars but only problem is they have to hire the right sales staff..
Verdict
It may be new to the Singapore market, but the Xpeng G6 has already gathered a sizable following of drivers who have come to love its combination of advanced technology, sublime performance and commodious cabin, packaged in a sleek body.

You might be puzzled when you first get behind the wheel, though, for the brand's neatness is such that the cockpit looks like it's been pared back. But once you get into the systems, you'll immediately discover the intuitive interface and sound ergonomics.

One of the G6's coolest tricks is its Autopark feature, which is not only capable of mapping the carpark and showing you the vacant spaces, but also lets you choose which one the system should park the car in.

Meanwhile, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out in the lounge-like rear, thanks to the 2,890mm wheelbase. And don't let that sloping roofline fool you, for headroom is actually generous.

In terms of performance, the G6 is available in two flavours: A Standard model with 255bhp and 440Nm of torque, a century sprint time of 6.6 seconds, and a driving range of 435km, and a more powerful Long Range variant. The latter comes with 282bhp and although torque is unchanged, it finishes the century dash in 6.2 seconds, while offering a maximum range of 570km.

The athletic ability is balanced with excellent efficiency, too, for the G6 can average 6.9km/kWh. It can even be charged at up to 280kW, which gets you back on the road sooner. In all, the Xpeng G6 is a compelling package that deserves the award for Electric Coupe-Crossover of the Year.
