I got to know FR Auto through this recommendation on this portal and I have to say that I have no regrets from the day I first visited them. The Technical Guru on call (Ah Boy :)) and his staff are friendly and provide the best advice on what is needed to be done to resolve any issues with the car. The prices are also wallet friendly with service that is provided at the most professional level. I definitely have found the right pit stop for my car needs.

I had steering vibrations that was getting bad

I was suckered in by marketing going to a supposed reknown Subaru specialist, it was mis-diagnosed as drive shaft and wheel bearings. After changing those parts , problem still there. Come to think of it most of the adverts showing Subarus changing these two items..

Went to try out FR for first time, after a test drive and hoist . Farhan showed me where the problem is exactly , tierods and stabilizer links. Nothing to do with wheel bearings or drive shaft apparently.

Kudos to him and very friendly guy.

My problem solved.

Knowing FR auto is the specialist for Subaru, I still go to them even after I changed my car. I only trust FR to take care of my car. The boss is a friendly young guy who really has a passion for car. He takes every one of his customers' car just like his own. Give you advice accordingly. Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Highly recommended workshop that specialises in Subarus, but also able to work on all brands of cars (Japanese, Continental etc.). Shopowner/mechanic is highly experienced and is not pushy. Gives honest recommendations on parts that require to be changed. Prices are reasonable too. Will definitely return. - Faidzal Nasir

A very friendly Malay boss Ah Boy. Found this workshop when he was still sharing half a unit at Defu Lane years ago. Every time went there for servicing, I will just wait there and have some chat with him. He will share with you on a lot of things about cars and feel he is a really very experience! Was hesitate in the beginning, but decided to give them a call first to roughly share with him the problem of my car. The boss is very friendly on the phone, after all, he still suggests it will be best that I can drive down the car to let him check, as it will never be accurate by just sharing info on the phone. I'm kind of sold even before I meet him haha. Drove over immediately as he was saying he is free at the moment. First visit was great. Friendly car shop owner cum mechanic scanned thru my 10plus year old Stream and recommended priority parts to be replace before he proceed. Charges are resonable with detailed worksmenship. - Faidzal Nasir
