Got problem with my gear leaking problem. Went online to source for auto gear workshop. Found Doctor Gearbox and read their reviews. Went down met Ah Hui and he consulted on what to do with the prob. I agreed and went on with the repairs. Shockingly the repaired is much faster than the agreed period. Problem solve and happy with the service. Friendly staff too. 2 thumbs up for Ah Hui & Team.

My Mazda stalled n I had it towed to a large & reputable workshop. The mechanic inspected n quite confidently told me it's gearbox problem n gave me two options: to fix with a scrape car's gearbox (only 1-week guarantee) or to overhaul the entire gearbox which cost several thousand. Faced with both tough options I decided to google for a gearbox specialist n hence entered Dr Gearbox. Rose n Ah Hui did a diagnosis n to my pleasant surprise they told me it wasn't the gearbox problem but needed to change a new pair of drive shafts which cost much less . Importantly my old Mazda had a right Dr to cure the woes n the car was ready in hours. Thanks to Dr Gearbox. I would like also I commend Rose & Ah Hui for being honest, patient & non-pushy. I have been driving my old Mitsubishi outlander car for years before renewing the COE for another five years. Recently it experienced buzzing noise for two weeks. I sent the car to my usual workshop for repair but the buzzing noise persisted. That was where I sent my car to Doctor Gear workshop. Ah Hui, the owner of the workshop was able to make a quick diagnostic of the problem and the type of repair which was required. After two days of repair, the car did not have the buzzing noise. The whole process of repair was seamless and smooth. I must compliment Ah Hui and his staff, for their professionalism and excellent customer service.

I drove over a 10 year old Mini to this workshop under my uncle's recommendation last month due to a suspect on gearbox issue creating a gradual noisy sound on the left hand side of the car engine.
After telling the boss, Ah Hui on the sound problem faced, he immediately assigned one of his assistant to test drive the car first.

After testing the car, he jacked up the car and did another diagnostic using his doctor stethoscope on the parts of the engine. He found and confirmed that it is the left bearing impairment that has to be changed.

Overall, I observed that Ah Hui was careful and thorough in checking the car before coming to a conclusion on the issue.

Thumbs Up and thanks to his honesty, I did not need to spend a bomb thinking that I would need to fix up my gearbox!

I have found this workshop through Sgcarmart to overhaul my Toyota Estima’s gearbox. Ah Hui, the boss is car doctor with a good heart and really listens to my needs. He knows that my car is already 8 1/2 years and thus give me a very reasonable price to overhaul my gearbox. Upon acceptance of his quote over the phone, my car was towed within an hour. My car was repaired within 2 days which could have been faster if not for the waiting time for the spare parts to arrive. I managed to collect my car before the weekend and they even washed my car! My whole experience with this workshop is excellent and I highly recommend as it is really value for money. Thumbs up!!!

Hi All, just collected my VW Jetta car today from Dr Gearbox Autos. Got Mechatronic issue. Need to be replaced. Surf online and found this workshop. Was told that it will be 2 days job. But surprisingly, the workshop got it repair in 1 day. Very satisfying, very happy with their service especially Mr Ah Hui who is very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for all VW Drivers. Price is reasonable and fast in repair. Thumb up to them!!! - Edward Choong

Hi All, just collected my car today from Dr Gearbox Autos, and after driving for some distance, I feel the car is as good as new, I actually didn't spend much for replacing my pc board inside my gearbox of my old E230. My Nissan Latio took time to move when I engaged into D drive in the morning. I went to my favorite workshops in AMK and Jurong to check the problem. They told me that the gearbox need overhaul and it would take at least 3 days to complete. I surf the Internet and decided to give the job to Dr Gearbox who is very convincing in their diagnosis. The speed and efficiency in completing the job in 2 days despite the heavy workload in their workshop really amazed me. They have a professional and hardworking team who work from 9 am to 10 pm. They are also cheaper than the other two workshops probably because they do the overhaul by themselves and not outsource the job. - Michael Lum

My Lexus LS 460 was having gear change issues for a week. I sent to Borneo Motors and I was told that I needed to overhaul the gearbox. They quoted near 5 figure for the overhaul.
Through this website I found Dr. Gearbox. I telephoned and enquired and Ah Hui, the owner gave me assurance that he can fix the problem as he has the parts to do the overhaul of the gearbox.
I sent the car in late Monday and I was able to pick up the car on Thursday.
I am very satisfied with the overhaul at less than 50% Of the agent's estimates.
The gear change is now seamless and I am more than happy to recommend Ah Hui who is a truly professional with 25 years of experience in repairing gearboxes.
