The pros and cons of paint protection film vs paint protection coatings were patiently explained to me. There was no hardselling and no overpromising. Facilities are very professional and most importantly, clean and neat. Timely updates on the progress of the service was provided to give an ease of mind. After completion of the paint protection application, maintenance tips, do's and don'ts were explained. Did my coating on my new ride with 5D Solution (and New Age Polish). Received their coating package but find it too costly and almost went for another detailing shop. Mike shared about the maintenance required for their brand of coating and I like it that they don't void warranty just because we do our own washes. Maybe the only detailing shop that offers water repelling under their warranty. Also attracted to their car wash deal. $18 per wash with coat enhancer after each wash. On the day when I dropped my car with them overnight, I was impressed with their professionalism in inspecting every part of the car. Their level of check is really thorough. Went on to further explained their process of coating before I leave the place. During the coating process (plus preparation), I have been receiving constant updates about what has been done etc. Upon collection, both Sam and Mike explained the details and taught me the techniques in washing and what to look out for etc. Introduced the recommended type of washing sponge. Surprisingly they told me how to find it from Taobao as it is relatively cheaper. Got a free bottle of pH neutral car shampoo to wash my car over the next few weeks. Today, it was raining since afternoon. Went back home getting ready to apply what I was taught to do after a rain. Went back home for a quick dinner and prepared the cleaning stuff. When I was at my car, all water and water marks were nowhere to be seen. So just took the time to do some simple splashing and wiping. Before I left my car, all water had already dried up and no marks seen. Have compared many different coating packages (at least 8 shops and their different packages) and I think engaging 5D and New Age is the right option given the service provided and using of Kubebond products. Additional plus point for Mike as he was the main person answering all my queries. Very patient and detailed in answering all my queries. Not once did I feel he was unwilling to help or getting frustrated with my questions. Willing to accommodate my timing and arrangement as long as within his means.
