I sent my Nissan Latio for air con problem. Good service. Despite the fact that I need to good down twice to get my problem fully solved, I would still recommend this workshop to all out there. This is one shop that they do not over do any unnecessary rectification. Real value for money.

Great workshop. Sent my Kia Picanto 2 days before CNY for initial checks on throttle issue. Although the workshop did not manage to nail the problem the first time round, Mr Yap's professionalism and explanation made me realise that they are really upfront and 'no nonsense' in finding the main problem for my car. Really value for time and effort to put your car and trust in them

I've sent my 2007 Mazda CX7 yesterday after seeing all the reviews. I've consulted with Mr. Yap. He is very friendly and explained me the changes needed. Changed oils, filters, shock abs, battery, spark plug and tires.His prices are quiet reasonable. The workers are knowledgeable. They have done the job within one day and also done the performance tuning. Mr. Yap has done final checking and done the test drive. The car is very smooth and powerful now. Still monitoring the fuel consumption. Highly recommended workshop. Must try. Thanks Mr. Yap.

1st Auto Pte Ltd has real hands-on experienced employees and professional mechanics Pricing and quotations given to me were also competitive. I had problems with my Mazda 3 front suspension, but 1st Auto Pte Ltd did a quick and efficient job to rectify the problems. Mr Yap was friendly and outgoing, and he has a wide knowledge abt cars and its spare parts. TWO THUMBS UP, FIVE STARS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :) Will definitely go there again. Mike.

Hi Everyone, I would like to recommmend 1st Auto to you for your regular car services and repairs. They have everything you are asking for as a consumer:- the necessary equipment and tools, the quality workmanship, the real hands-on experience, the people and its professionalism, and remarkably the turnaround time. Above all, the price that is so competitve compared to other workshops. Very recently, my Toyota Wish aircon was down. I went to my regular car workshop and they repaired it after the usual chceks like any others. But the problem came back. I turned to 1st Auto for help. They identified as aircon leak and fixed it within 2 hours, removing the dashboard panel and so on. Very, very impressive. Hence, my recommendation to you out there is to find a regular car workshop that does everything from service to repairs. Here, I also want to thank Mr Yap, the gentleman with short white hair, for his professional advice and overall customer service rendered. Trust him, he is the man for you and your car. Finally, 1st Auto is expanding in terms of both businesses (workshops space) and manpower (service). Very soon customers will find themselves in the comfort of a excusite lounge while waiting for their cars to be ready. Wow, I congratualate Mr Yap and his team for the future of 1st Auto. We are able to enjoy competitive prices because 1st Auto do not advertise heavily and hence savings to you and me. Visit 1st Auto and you will agree completely.

Firstly, will like to say a big thank you to Mr Yap and wish you a prosperous Dragon Year. From the good review online, decided to proceed to 1st Auto today to check out my aircon. It has been producing rattling noise for the past two weeks and decided to have it inspected. Not knowing that Mr Yap has not offically open for business, i still went down. When reached there, Mr Yap was obviously not in, but his helpful mechanics inspected and validated that the aircon compressor was faulty. Thus, he called Mr Yap and checked if there is any stock available for repair. Over the phone, Mr Yap assisted to source for a new compressor and quoted a resonable price. With that, the mechanics proceed to do the necessary detail inspections while waiting for the new compressor to be delievered. Within 30 minutes, the new compressor was delievered and the mechanics proceed with the replacement. Meanwhile, Mr Yap has arrived with his family, and oversee the work. Felt bad that his family has to wait in the car for about 15 minutes while he provided some instructions to the mechanics. After which, he left when the work was almost completed and in all, it only took less than 2hrs. There was no more rattling noise and the aircon felt colder now. This is indeed professional and responsible !!! Once again, many thanks to Mr Yap and the helpful mechanics !!! Best Regards, William

i am still searching for realiable, trustable workshop, this could be among the best i can find so far, This manager MR Yap are friendly and approachable, their staff, like Mr Ong, the engineer, do a detail test drive and easily tell me the exact issue causing my vehicle problem. i confidently changes some of the parts after my personal finding outside compare to their advise. some advantage of this workshop over other workshop. 1 - quick and fast service, they hardly keep you waiting. 2 - can feel that they are doing a quality job, i will verify by friend workshop in msia hehe! :) 3 - price reasonable 4 - importantly, engineer there are experience can trust this workshop for fast, quality yet in in-expensive service.

Was At 1st Auto yesterday For Checking&Quotation for my Air-con, As my air-con is not cold even after topping up air-con gas which last only 2 days. Over the phone Mr yap quoted me 2 hours for changing cooling coil which is suspected leaking air-con gas, So far the fastest quote i get on hand, Other workshop nearest i get is half a day, got 1 workshop even quote me 2-3 day which is ridiculous.I was impress they finish the JOB in Less than 90 min Thumb Upz To Them....

Sent my 2009-used Avante S for 1st time 48k servicing. Read about good reviews here so try lor. Dudes there are friendly and not pushy. Chose Mobil1 gold 0W-40 engine oil servicing with oil-filter change($110), aircon refreshment package($68), advised to change ATF fluid($90), change out aircon filters($25) cuz the ones I got from some dealer at Admiralty car accessory shop was WRONG, cleaned air-intake filter. Total cost is around $290. They accepted cash, nets or credit cards. Even got an aircon room to relak on sofa, read mags watch tv, drink free cold water while wait for car get serviced. Coool! Talked to Mr Yap himself. Got to know him as a friendly chap whose principle is focusing on value-for-money quality car servicing and returning customers. To me this is important. Thinking of changing out my brake pads but mechanic checked, said no need. Mr Yap also taught me how to check brake pads too see if need to change. During the aircon service, got the friendly mechanic to explain how the machine works. Can see mechanic pour in mobil1-gold engine oil and SP-III ATF fluid from Hyundai Mobis blue bottle. Saw mechanic replaced 2 aircon filters. After aircon maintenance tested the temp inside car using sensor, showed it can reach 7 degC at coolest. I am assured and convinced I get what I paid for. Confirm will return for next service.

Send my 6 yr old Ford Focus in to check on the air con after reading all the good reviews here but the experience is just so so. Was told that the checking will be FOC when I called in to Mr Yap but when arrived, another mechanic simply went ahead to 'replace & top up' the gas to prove to me that there is a leak. (which was exactly what i told them i suspect was the problem) After that, Mr Yap simply came along and told me that need to replace the cooling coil in this case and it will be about $600 as they remove the dashboard to do the replacement for this model. After i told them that, i am unable to leave the car with them on the same day to do the replacement and will only do a servicing first, Mr Yap highlighted that they will charge just $20 for the gas top-up. I didn't contest that since they did do a top up though I never really asked for it and assumed that that was part of the FOC check to ascertain the problem. The guy who was assigned to do my servicing was quite diligent and meticulous. At just $88 for a fully synthetic servicing, i thought it was good value. Although, I discovered as I walk around during the servicing that another shop down the corner is offering $78 for the same fully synthetic package. Service level untested though.

I sent my 4 years old Kia Carens for an air con problem and was attended by Mr Yap himself and after the thorough check up by his mechanics, he explained the caused was due to the malfunction compressor. After quoted the price, he shown me the replacement original parts and while waiting for the car, he served the packet drinks to me, missus and my daughter. I believed a good customer service will make a good impression for a first time customer to his workshop. In the end, my air con was fully repaired and the temperature was back to normal as if it just been delivered out of the showroom. If a Penang guy could send his classic Rolls Royce all the way to Singapore to get it fixed, just imagine what this workshop can do for your ride. Highly recommended.

I brought my aging Honda City for a major servicing after making an appointment. The setup is spacious. The three sections comprise of servicing, spray painting and major repair/overhaul. One bloke even sent in a vintage 'Bettle?!' for massive overhaul. It appears the owner Mr Yap is has good knowledge on continental cars. As I have recently changed the air-conditioner compressor oil, I did not opt for the air-conditioning maintenance package despite the competitive bundle pricing. Before servicing, the mechanic wrapped plastic protective coverings over the driver seat and steerling wheel, a thoughtful gesture. The assigned mechanic, Mr Ong systematically explained the various questions I posed during servicing. The classic City engine mounting problem was detected when earlier workshops gave that a pass. Overall I am pleased with the servicing. Opted for additional engine flush and throttle cleaning. The throttle cleaning was interesting as they whipped out a computer to 'reset' the memory to take account of flushed throttle to reduce initial rough idling. The engine was indeed more responsive after the throttle cleaning with and OWS oil change. Given that I usually visit different workshops for air-conditioning maintenance and servicing, I will probably return for a one stop service in future.

i almost gave up finding a proper and reliable shop, until i found mr yap again at 1st auto. it happened when i met into an accident and was looking for accident repairs. decided to call 1st auto and yap picked up. told me to go over so he can take a look but ensure there will not be any charges for that. End of the day, both cars were done 1 day later. yap even went to the extend to provide courtesy car. best of it all, i love the workmanship considering it to be on short notice. yap, thanks for saving me this time, i will definitely come back again and again! :)
