I have found them to be honest and open in what they did and what they were doing with my car. When I sent my car in for servicing, they had no qualms about sharing what they were doing and what else needed to be done. However, their Senior Technician, Ah Foo persuaded me not to do work that could be done further down the road. His main concern seemed to be on how to save me money during the servicing. He and the mechanics were friendly, polite and most of all, professional. I was quite surprised to have the boss of the workshop ask me what I was doing with the car as the license plate betrayed the fact that there was less than half a year left before car would be scrapped. I quote his exact words, "Going to scrap already, don't spend so much money lah." When I said I was going to renew, he nodded and said the car was in good hands and recommended things I could do which weren't done by their workshop. After the servicing, they took the trouble to vacuum the car, wash it, and dry it. My overall experience was that they were friendly, tried to save their customers money and straightforward about what they were doing. I would go back there again for all my future auto servicing needs.

I bought a Toyota Mark X 2 months ago and it gave a lot of starting problems. Went to 3 other workshops (2 of them are Toyota/Lexus specialist and one of them quite reputable online) and spent 1K changing out components but still couldn't solve the problem.

However, Riverview managed to solve it. It was an Autostart device left by the other owner. Cost me $642 for the diagnosis and replacement of battery terminals, but well worth the money when it solved an intractable issue that other "Professionals" Couldn't solve or find.

Before I purchased a used car, I brought it to them for an inspection as I was told that they serviced quite a few of these models and would be detailed in the checks. Was given a report with a number of areas needing repair coming up to approx $3k+. However, after I purchased the car, and brought it in to them for repair, the bill came up to $6k and that is not counting other costs from another workshop doing my wheels/arms for me. All in all, the total bills came up to $7k+ which was more than double that expected. Senior Technician attended to me and when I expressed my upset feeling, was told that initial inspection is only what they can see and these repairs are for bringing the car to brand new level. When I spoke to the junior technician separately, was told that the inspecting mechanic should have spotted many of these issues and I should have been told. In addition, some items were done without informing me beforehand. Had a very very rattled experience with them. I will not go back to riverview anymore and will not recommend to my friends this workshop.

When I first send my ride to this workshop years back, the service quality is great. However as times past, technician's service quality drop, service adviser very little technical knowledge, boss worst will come over tell you servicing your car will make them close down. Last encounter with them is just a normal service job with request to change Engine coolant. leave my ride there, come back to collect when done. Didn't check & trust them to do a good job. When reach home, open bonnet did a quick visual check, found coolant reserve tank empty! Shock! Wait for 20 min for engine to cool a bit, check radiator tank at least it is filled. Also notice my rim has lots of marks cause by some sort of chemical. Went back immediately and compliant to them, end up tell me reserved coolant tank empty also no problem and can pour in water will do! Insist to fill it up with proper coolant, finally they filled it up with unhappy expression. Feedback to them on the stain marks on the rim, they denied and have no ideas of it. My reviews will be if you are looking for reasonable cost service/repair, find other workshop.

Untrustworthy and completely reckless in car servicing. Despite not checking my car thoroughly and noticing the joint damage to my front axles guess what they did during my gearbox oil change? These unprofessional and untrustworthy individuals and company did not put gearbox oil back into my car. NONE AT ALL. Can you believe that? When I picked up my car from a major service Mr Lim told me my gearbox had a bit of a clunk in it. I thought that was strange and my gearbox had become so bad I was beginning to think they had replaced my gearbox from another car because it wasn't the gearbox I drove with that morning. Mr Lim had a mechanic check the gearbox oil level at MY INSISTENCE where he turned to Mr Lim and said with a surprised tone to his voice "it is empty!". Mr Lim tried to brush it off saying it was just a little low and I stood there and watched as they poured over 3 litres of oil into the gearbox before the level indicator reached the minimum. And what do you know? My gearbox was fixed immediately. It is one thing to have bad mechanics but another thing entirely to have a staff member who's only job it seems is to lie to you, block you from the truth and never apologize. I wish I had read the other entries in this forum before having my car serviced and hope that other people read through these reviews as well. Do not trust them with your car.

Totally Disappointed  Posted on 27-Jun-2012

I just returned from my car servicing. I patronized them since 2005. I sent in my car at 850 sharp and left shortly after. At around 1020am, i received a call from Mr Lim telling me that all my 4 tryes need to be replace cos all can NO LONGER be use. I am puzzled cos i remember those 4 michelin PS3 were replaced less than a years ago and it seem like only 6 months ago.Mr Lim offered to drive my car to level 1 trye shop to change my trye on my behalf. I politely rejected his offer to help, telling him that i have my own trye shop. When i arrived at the workshop eventually, i paid for the serviving and was surprise that Mr Lim did not approach me to explain further on the call he made earlier regarding the tryes. So i asked him and he led me to my car, what i see is there is at least 2 to 3 mm of rubber before reaching the tyre indicator. Mr Lim insisted that the trye need to be change. Before i drove off, he offered to go with me to the workshop at level 1 which he recommended earlier.Just being nice as usual, i accepted his suggestion although that is not what i meant. So we drove to the trye shop at 01-11. Mr lim called out to Ah Siong who appears shortly. Mr lim ask him to introduce trye to me & left thereafter. So, this guy immediately say michedlin is no good as the wear rate is high, etc. His maxxis trye is the best and he has one which is all weather which he strongly recommend. He quote me 880 for 4 trye with my old trye trade in. I rejected his offer and he told me that if i come back later, i will not get this offer agin. He said that twice. Guess i look like greenhorn becos of my young looks but that does not mean that i am dumb. I left anyway and my friend at the trye shop was surprise to see me, he say the trye is good for another 20 to 30K. My personal opinion after driving for >15 years, I will change in the next 10K serving or the 20K serving. My fr said he will ask me to change now if he want to earn my money. I drove off to Kenny who do alignment, 1st look, he say - Why need to change trye, siao ah? You need to rotate trye and balancing before you come here for alignement cos trye should not be in a fixed position for too long. I went back to Mr Lim, he told me otherwise and not to worry and as for the trye, up to me to decide. I want him to do tyre balancing and swap the trye. He say no need cos he check my back trye is better so no need o sway. I insisted and he unwilling comply charging me some more for all the time and effort wasted for running to two places asking for feedback. They should be the expert & If i need to check their work & run around asking opinion cos i still have some common sense and doubt what they claim. Why bother to go back to them? I trusted them all these years and this is the attitude & service they are providing. I do not mind giving them tips or commision for good work done. I am not rich but i am just being reasonable but this is a total breach of trust. I ask Mr Lim if i look like gong gong. I am super frustrated. Till now at 130pm, i have not taken my Lunch nor have i complete my alignment with Kenny yet. I will never go back to Riverview anymore. A total disappointment.

Sent my car there for servicing only to discover that they actually damaged my car rim. Went back to confront the boss but he insisted that was not done by them. He talked loudly and unprofessionally. Anyway, even free servicing i will not go back there.

My Sunny has been giving those squeaking sound whenever I go over humps. Based on my previous workshop mechanic's testing, they deduced it would have to be my shocks. Based on my friend's recommendation, I popped over to Riverview since I'm in the area. I reached about 9am, yet all their workshops (they have 3 on the same level at Autopoint) are 3/4 full with cars already!! One of the service advisor, Mr Lim attended to me. Simply just 3 words to describe him: Attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. I believe he's the same advisor that the previous reviewer below mentioned about in his/her review. Mr Lim offered to test drive my car on the roads outside Autopoint with me beside him. During the drive, he mentioned he used to be from BMW's Performance Motor. At the end of the whole testing, he gave a truthful assessment that my shocks can still be used for quite some time. What impressed me mightily was that even though I took out my wallet already and offered to pay him a bit for labour fees (he took close to an hour to test out my car), he steadfastly refused!! In addition, I got a chance to talk to the boss Vincent on the phone. He has no airs of a big boss, listens to what I say first, and acts accordingly in a prompt and fair manner to my case. All in all, this is a honest and efficient workshop. Overlook this place at your own loss anyway..

I spoke to one of their senior mechanic who used to work for BMW for decades. His service is excellent. I did my 80k major servicing here with OWS Ecolight engine oil. I notice a significant improvement in my car's fuel consumption. I replaced the front wheel bearing as well. Their quotation is $300 cheaper as compare to another workshop (R.*.*) in the same building.

I have used this workshop twice and i can say for certain their mechanics are really good and display excellent professional knowledge for my car's make. i also did my servicing there recently and to be honest, this is the first time i see every items they advertised being checked and ticked off. So great service again! Will definitely recommend drivers whose servicing has expired from AD to use this workshop.

My Went to this company for servicing. What more can i say, excellent service and honest. Think the whole servicing took about three hours. There is a test drive at the end of the servicing too. Just book in advance, it is quite crowded nowadays.
