My vehicle is explicitly covered by a 5-year warranty, as stated in my sales agreement. For over six months, I've been reporting a persistent "Tank System Malfunction" Resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. This issue initially resolved intermittently, but over the past week, the fuel gauge now consistently reads zero, even immediately after a full tank. This is a critical safety and operational defect.
Despite my car being under active warranty, the workshop has provided numerous illogical and unsatisfactory explanations for their inability to diagnose and repair this fundamental issue. It is truly astonishing that in an era of advanced mechanical and electrical engineering, Audi's diagnostic systems apparently cannot isolate and troubleshoot a single component like the fuel gauge without complicating the diagnosis with other parts of the vehicle. This lack of modular diagnosis and an inability to independently address a clear system malfunction is frankly bewildering.
Audi, you need to address your service capabilities for warrantied vehicles. A "Tank System Malfunction" On a car still under factory warranty, with no clear path to resolution after months of reporting, is unacceptable. Future customers should be aware of these potential frustrations when considering an Audi purchase.
