Got a tyre puncture went to TS but say unable to repair. Instead got press to change whole 4 tyres since already changing the punctured tyre. However, the recommended Michelin Primacy 4 given is the wrong sizing. Was told 225/50/18 is correct after I check with car club, nobody use 235/50/18. Mostly will use 235/45/18 or 225/50/18. New tyres changed had cause quite drastic drop in FC. Used to get 15km/L on 225/50/18 on last tyres set. New tyres 235/50/18 FC now is 9km/L. Now I have to look for the right size tyres to improve upon my FC since ️ is expensive. Cause me lost $$ in both tyres and increase fuel $. Best part was when I show the puncture tyre to another tyre shop, they say are able to repair. - Larry Liu

Poor experience  Posted on 06-Mar-2022

Overall, a rather poor experience due to repeated up selling by workshop and a lack of price information on my end. I went there with a screw about 3-4mm in rear left wheel. Was told that this is beyond repair/not patchable and was recommended to change the entire set of tires. This was done while pointing to the GEOLANDAR tire (off road tire) on display telling me that the new tire thread depth should be like that and telling me that my tire is worn (driven for less than 2 years with a thread depth of more than 5mm). I asked about the tyre choices they carry and was interested in Michelin Primacy 4 due to the raved reviews. I was quoted $270 ea (225 55 R18) and I accepted it without much thought or need to cross check because the wheels are around 4 months from the 2 year mark which is deem to be the ideal time to change. A cross check with my colleague and I found a same set of new tires at $900 total. The next thing I was informed that one of wheel is very untrue but I cannot see the deformation when the wheel spins on the machine nor was I given the confirmation which portion was deformed. The only thing I saw was the shiny metal colour strip within the wheel to be of different width thru out out all my 4 wheels and him scratching the internal of the wheel with a flathead screwdriver as the wheel spins. I was then offered to trade in my wheels for a new set of wheels. I was stunned at the cost I am offered and rejected. He then informed me that this will lead to uneven tire wear which I am also not able to see from the old tires so I only stick to the tire change. The new tires are installed with more than 20% overinflation of air (285psi instead of the recommended 225psi which can found at the door or via me who was seated nearby). It was lucky that i found out straight away from the tire pressure monitor system. Indeed, uneven tire wear will occur if I drive on without checking but most probably due to over inflating of tires. Not to mention about the tire performance due to the recent wet weather. - Chun Howe Tan

Ridiculous pricing  Posted on 21-Oct-2020

One of the most uncompetitive and ridiculous pricing in the market. When I first got my toyota altis '09 make in 2017, knowing nothing much about cars at the point in time and wanted to change headlight plus pole light to Philip White bulb, I was charged 250 altogether with installation. I could have almost gotten new headlight for that price. But its alright, lesson learnt - Jun Zhi Ong

Went there for faulty signal lights. Both signal and hazard lights cannot function. Mechanic cannot diagnose the problem after 45 mins. Went to another shop. Problem fixed within 15 mins because of blown fuse. - Hong Jian Lew

Hard sell tactics. Sold me Yokohama tyres 17inch tyres 160$ for 1 pc. Made in Japan but overpriced when compared to other shops. Next time check carousell first for market price. Very slimy sales tactics. Lesson learnt - Ch Ch

Management Response by TS Auto Pte Ltd

Hi Raychan,

Firstly, I apologise the for the unpleasant experiences you have with us.

We taken a lot of work to ensure that we always give our customers the most competitive prices for all the products that we have in our shop. There are some product that we do not always keep stocks with (those not very popular sizes) where we will always call our suppliers for stocks and if the customers want on the spot delivery, we usually will enforce and make sure our customers will have it on that day. However, this will be higher cost for the customers.

Some of our staff may not know how to explain to the customers why they have to pay more and encounter some misunderstanding.

For any purchasing inquiries, you can approach our store manager, Eric for assistance!

I would like to this opportunity on behalf of TS Auto to thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We will work even harder to archive higher customer satisfaction!

When down to yishun branch to get a car entertainment system installed. Thou the system is good but their workmanship is lousy.

They have made scratches on my dashboard when trying to remove the panel and they did not install panel back proper, leaving a big gap.

Secondly, The old frame for the touch screen is damaged and cannot be secure properly. For benefit of doubt, Maybe this is an old damages.
They just use it back and did not even bother to replace with a new one.
Hello! I spend $2000+ at your shop and you give me such a lousy standard. How much would a frame replacement cost, you can just tell me if you cannot bare the losses.

Never will go back there again.
