Hennessey Venom GT claims to have beaten its own speed record
11 Apr 2016|1,349 views
The Hennessey Venom GT, in its 1,244bhp guise, presently holds the speed record of 270.49mph (435.31km/h), set back in February 2014. That record admittedly comes with some caveats, and does not qualify for a Guinness record since it didn't do two runs, one in either direction.
Now, Hennessey is out to beat its own record with a uprated Venom GT, producing 1,451bhp from its twin-turbo 7.0-litre V8 engine.
Check out the video teaser above to hear the monstrous-sounding car in action, and stay tuned for more information of the speed record that will be set.
