The Sport Maxx RT (Racing Technology) is Dunlop's summer road tyre developed for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and high-performance sedans. It replaces its incredibly successful predecessors, the SP Sport Maxx and SP Sport Maxx TT.

Embedded with Dunlop Racing Technology that combines sophisticated tyre materials and manufacturing techniques, the Sport Maxx RT improves road feedback and driving precision.

The Sport Maxx RT features adaptive compound technology that uses motorsports derived polymers to allow its silica-plus tread rubber to adapt to the textures of the road surface, thus maximising road contact and increasing grip.

This compound is moulded into an asymmetric design that features large outboard shoulder blocks tied to a notched intermediate rib that enhances dry road responsiveness and cornering control.

Around the shoulder of the tyre, Dunlop has constructed 'Short Braking' blocks to ensure shorter braking distances when travelling at high speeds. The massive outer shoulder blocks also help to promote increased stability and handling when engaging bends.

Dunlop's Multi-Radius-Tread technology ensures that footprint pressure is distributed effectively across the tyre and allows the footprint shape to change more smoothly as it moves from a straight to a curve, leading to better control and more precise driving.

In addition, the tyre's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop's Jointless Band (JLB) spirally wound cord to provide high-speed durability and enhanced ride uniformity.

The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT is available in a full range of standard sizes and is also the factory fitted tyre for the Audi A3, the Maserati Quattroporte, the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG, the Renault Clio RS and the Subaru WRX STI.
