Aston Martin Vanquish from Die Another Day goes to auction
31 Aug 2024|103 views
Fans of the bond franchise will want to sit up for this one. Just a month after Aston Martin opened a 007-inspired pop-up in London, an example of the Aston Martin Vanquish used by Pierce Brosnan and EON Productions to promote Die Another Day has appeared for grabs at a U.K. auction.
And this car has more than just an association with the film. It apparently was the lead car in a parade conducted to open the M6 toll road in the U.K. in 2003. The car was apparently retained by Aston Martin for press duty before being delivered for a photoshoot with the Bond star, having been chosen thanks to its Tungsten Silver paint, Charcoal leather, and aluminium centre console, as was featured in the hero cars used on the silver screen.
A model is said have sported a ‘M16 SPY’ plate for a brief period of time before being registered as ‘A12 AML’. It had close to 60,800km on its odometer when it was sold to its current owner where it featured for more than 20 years as part of a prominent collection.
The Aston Martin Vanquish will be offered for sale come 9 October 2024 at the Imperial War Museum in, Duxford, U.K. Find out more via the auction lot here. Or, you could just want for the new Aston Martin Vanquish to make it full reveal...
