Audi adds YouTube into its native app store

Just two months after Volvo and Polestar announced the addition of YouTube into their infotainment systems, Audi has now done the same, integrating the app into the app store of its Multimedia Interface infotainment system.

Audi states that YouTube is the first video platform available for download via its new native app store, a move that will make waiting in the car, whether it be for charging, driving breaks, or simply waiting for loved ones more enjoyable.

The YouTube app will be available starting with the 2024 model year in selected models equipped with the latest hardware and software cluster of the third-generation modular infotainment system for models including the Audi A4, A5, Q5, A6, A7, A8, Q8 e-tron, and Audi e-tron GT quattro.

These models will soon come equipped with the app store from the factory in Europe, Canada and the U.S.A. Audi plans to roll out the app store to other regions at a later date.
