The first round of bidding for May saw Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums rising across all private car categories.
This bidding session also saw premiums for Cat A climbing back above the $100,000 mark - a threshold which was not crossed since October 2024. The raised premiums this session are likely to be a product of renewed car buying interest following the conclusion of The Car Expo, countering the added COE supply for this quarter compared to the last. This increased car buying interest could also explain why the total number of bids received this session has risen for categories A and B compared to the last session.
