Lexus to celebrate 35-year heritage at Monterey Car Week

Lexus has announced that it will be headed to Monterey Car Week with a large lineup to mark its 35-year heritage.

The event will see a 1990 Lexus LS400 on display complete with a pyramid of champagne glasses on its hood - a nod to an advertisement that first aired in 1989 to highlight the speed and ultimate refinement of car and heralded the launch of Lexus.

Also set to be featured at the event is the Lexus LF-ZC, showcasing the firm's vision of the future and representing its goal of making luxury personal through next-generation battery electric vehicles that push boundaries and leverage new technologies. The concept will make its North American debut at the event, displayed alongside the LF-ZL battery electric mobility flagship concept.

Vehicles from the current Lexus lineup will also welcome visitors around the display at the event, and attendees will get to see vehicles including the GX550 Luxury+ Malbon Concept, GX550 Overtrail+, IS500, LC500 Convertible, LX600, RCF GT3 and RZ450e.
