MINI has brought its Concept Aceman to the 2024 Singapore Motor Show!
The MINI Concept Aceman is said to offer an initial glimpse of a completely new vehicle that has yet to be revealed and which will bridge the space between the MINI Cooper and the new MINI Countryman.
Fans of the MINI brand, however, will still want to catch the Concept Aceman for themselves, as the car sports many of the design touches also seen in the new two new models. Take for example, the fact that the Concept Aceman sports an octagonal 'grille', also now present in the two production models.
On the Aceman, this grille is comprised of a light green LED contour lighting element. Further up top, the Aceman sports head lights that have received a touch of angularity, just as we have seen on the new Countryman.
And at the back, you'll also be able to catch taillights that are inspired by the Union Jack, a touch mirrored by the transverse and diagonal struts that form the Concept Aceman's roof rack.
But it's not just the exterior of the Concept Aceman that you'll want to see. The interior of the concept is equally flamboyant, comprising of seats that deliver a lively, three-dimensional look thanks to the use of a combination of materials including textile flat knit, velvet velour and waffle weave and embroidered 'X' and 'O' graphics.
The Concept Aceman also makes a nod to the minimalist interior which Alec Issigonis' penned in 1959, which sported little beyond a central round instrument and toggle switch bar. In the MINI Concept Aceman, this return to minimalism is once again being made possible thanks to digitalisation, which is reducing the number of operating elements needed in a car while maximising the driving experience in a way that is characteristic of MINI.
The minimalist dashboard of the concept makes use of a khaki green base colour, combined with knitted textile perimeters made of light grey recycled polyester with a slight blue tinge and featuring precisely placed decorative seams.
At its centre is a round OLED display (as also now utilised in the new MINI Cooper and the new MINI Countryman) which serves as the means through which users will interact with the vehicle. This display is said to run on the latest generation of the MINI Operating System, which for the first time is built on an Android Open Source Project software stack which MINI states will allow for an unprecedented and comprehensive expansion of digital features offered with the vehicle.
Catch the MINI Concept Aceman at booth 116 at Suntec City Convention Centre Level 4, alongside the MINI One 5-Door and the MINI John Cooper Works 3-Door.
A wide range of the MINI Lifestyle Collection are also on display and MINI is offering deals of up to 20% off its exclusive merchandise. Customers who purchase a MINI at the Singapore Motorshow 2024 will receive complimentary seven years' worth of warranty and servicing, MINI Advanced Car Eye Pro, and more.
